Approximately 75 refrigerated truckloads of ground beef, pork, and turkey arrive weekly at Oscar Mayer's two hot dog plants. For the classic frank, the meats are blended with a secret spice recipe. Several 1,200-gallon mixers churn 10,000-pound batches of the protowiener.
